Twelve scholars from Enterprise Middle School boys' mentor group had the honor of welcoming Super Mentor Mohamet Mbaye for an inspiring discussion on The Art of Loving Your Melanin. Mbaye shared his personal journey of growing up in Africa and the challenges he faced upon arriving in America due to the color of his skin.
More than 50 Centennial, Compton, Compton Early College, and Dominguez High School scholars, including many band, dance, and drill team members, attended the Los Angeles Black College Expo and the highly anticipated Honda Battle of the Bands.

Athletes for Life is launching its After-School Elementary Sports Program on Monday, November 18th across Compton Unified elementary schools!
We are excited to announce that enrollment is still available for our Transitional Kindergarten (TK) for this current school year for 4-year-old children. TK is designed to give 4-year-old children (turning 5 by June 2, 2025), an excellent start to their educational journey by providing them with a year of growth and leaning in a developmentally appropriate educational environment.
Compton Unified’s 5th Annual STEAMFest welcomed more than 8,000 community members to view CUSD scholars’ extraordinary talents, showcasing innovations in science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM) as they displayed their innovative new products they created this year in the classroom.
This school year Clinton, Dickison, Kelly, Kennedy, Mayo, and Roosevelt Elementary Schools have all been participating in the Latino Family Literacy Project (LFLP).
Twenty-five students from Carver, Clinton, and McKinley Elementary Schools went on a BSA Department Field Trip to Space X headquarters in Hawthorne, California.
Parents from Clinton, Mayo, and Enterprise were recognized for their fantastic achievement in completing the P.U.E.N.T.E.S. computer literacy courses recently.
