Have you ever imagined a backpack with a built-in umbrella? This was one of the creative and innovative ideas developed by scholars at Jefferson Elementary and Clinton Elementary as they prepared for the upcoming Southern California Invention Convention in Torrance in late March.

We are excited to announce that enrollment is still available for our Transitional Kindergarten (TK) for this current school year for 4-year-old children. TK is designed to give 4-year-old children (turning 5 by June 2, 2025), an excellent start to their educational journey by providing them with a year of growth and leaning in a developmentally appropriate educational environment.
Compton Unified’s 5th Annual STEAMFest welcomed more than 8,000 community members to view CUSD scholars’ extraordinary talents, showcasing innovations in science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM) as they displayed their innovative new products they created this year in the classroom.
This school year Clinton, Dickison, Kelly, Kennedy, Mayo, and Roosevelt Elementary Schools have all been participating in the Latino Family Literacy Project (LFLP).
